The original foam pads on my Grados disintegrated and I was never comfortable with them anyway so I bought some cheap replacements off Amazon. The trouble with these is that they don’t stay on very well. The rim around the speaker is very shallow and doesn’t provide enough of an edge to keep the foam in place. Glue and double sided tape won’t work but this little adaptation works perfectly. I cut a ring out of a plastic food container (veggie bacon) 50mm inside diameter and 64mm outside, and slipped it over the rim. Now the foam stays perfectly in place. Cutting the shape was easy using a pair of dividers to score through the flimsy plastic.
